Security issues and more

This plugin has given me nothing but headaches recently. 1st, I lost websites because of a security issue the plugin caused, which left my websites vulnerable to attacks. Both were hacked and screwed beyond repair, needing to be rebuilt. Foolishly, I used the plugin again during the rebuild. All was fine for a couple of months til they came out with their newest update. Seeing as though they had security issues in the recent past, I wanted to make certain I ran their most current version. I updated the plugin and……GONE. My forms, fields and saved submissions were gone. Ironically, only after the update and the realization I just screwed up the site did a warning message pop up in my dashboard. It warned about backwards compatibility and the potential loss of forms etc. A little too little, a little too late.

I’ve been looking for instructions on how to retrieve my forms (since they claim there is a fix for this) but with all the problems this plugin has caused…..I’ll be looking for another. If you are curious about the security issues that arose this past summer, just google it. Most bloggers suggest using a different forms plugin since these developers were not very responsive to the problem they caused countless sites.
