Security of files being uploaded by guests

I would like to begin with saying that this looks like a very exciting plugin, and I cannot wait to start using it.
For my client, I need to allow users to upload files (like resume etc.) to the site, and your plugin seems like the perfect way to do it.
I have a couple of questions that I would love to know the answers to before I start working:
1. One of the things that always bothers me with file uploads is the security. Does the plugin have any built-in security checks?
2. Is it possible to save the uploaded files in individual directories. E.g. If guest “John” uploads his CV, is it possible that this CV be uploaded to /John directory.
