Note: I have already read the solution here and the problem is in fact “fixed” using this solution. This question is not about finding the solution but how to implement the solution.

    Hi!

I am still stuck on version 5.3.2 due to this error on the login widget.

The fix that works for me is not regenerating assets in this plugin, not regenerating files in Elementor, not clearing the cache in my cache plugin (or server cache) but instead to clear my browser cache after performing the update.

However, this is also the fix for the thousands of members that I have on my site.

If I update to a version later than 5.3.2, I therefore get hounded by emails from my members saying that they can’t login.

This is even though I have a message underneath the login form stating that if they see this message that they should clear their browser cache (by using ctrl/cmd+shift+r on desktop).

However, I still end up getting tons of emails about difficulty logging in from mobile users as clearing cache on such devices is less intuitive and depends on browser, operating system etc.

Rather than dealing with all of those emails, I’ve just been staying on version 5.3.2.

Is there really no way for me to update to a later version of this plugin without asking my thousands of members to clear their browser cache on whatever device they use to login?

    Many thanks!

    Hi @ucdguy ,
    Hope you are doing well.

We have already fixed this issue in our previous releases. The current version of the Essential Addons for Elementor plugin is 5.5.4.

Would you please update the following plugins to the latest version:

Essential Addons for Elementor version 5.5.4, Essential Addons for Elementor PRO version 5.4.5, Elementor version 3.10.2, and Elementor PRO (If you use) version 3.10.3.

After updating the plugins if that doesn’t work, then please try doing the following:

To regenerate assets, you can go to?wp-admin -> Essential Addons?then, switch to the ‘Tools’ tab and hit the ‘Regenerate Assets’ button. Check out this screenshot:?https://d.pr/i/iBccDw

Also, make sure to Regenerate Files from wp-admin -> Elementor -> Tools -> General as well. Check out this screenshot: https://d.pr/i/N6WC1d

If the issue still persists, please try clearing your browser cache (by pressing shift+ctrl+R) or try another browser too.

You can check this from your incognito or private browser. Hopefully, this will resolve your issue.

Let me know how it goes.
    Thank you.

I had a feeling you would reply to my message without even reading my message.

I recommend first apologising for not reading my message and then responding to my question.

    Hi @ucdguy,

I apologize for the previous response. We are really sorry to hear that you are getting this issue from the version later than 5.3.2 of Essential Addons for Elementor. However, we need to investigate this issue deeply on our end. I will definitely let you know the update on this topic after checking this issue, no worries.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi @ucdguy,
I hope you are doing well.

We tried to reproduce the issue on our end but couldn’t do that and didn’t get such an issue on our end. Actually, when the plugin is updated then it cleared the cache automatically. Will you please check that when the general.min.js is called, at that time is the latest version of the plugin visible on your end or not? Screenshot: https://d.pr/i/Ndxljf

If the latest version is not visible on your end, then you may face this issue.

Also, will you please provide the URL of the page where you are facing this issue so that we can check the console and assist you?

    Hope to hear from you.
    Thank you.

    Hi @ucdguy

I hope you are fine today.

We did not hear from you since our last reply. Is the issue still remain? Can you please share the page link we asked for?

    Have a nice day.

    Thanks & regards

    Hi,

Yes, I still have the issue and yes, the latest version of the plugin appears on my end.

I don’t understand your response though. You’ve stated that “we tried to reproduce the issue on our end but couldn’t do that” and yet you’ve also stated that “If the issue still persists, please try clearing your browser cache”.

You are therefore implying with the last statement that clearing your browser cache may be necessary.

My question is, if that is indeed the case, is there a way around that so that I don’t have to explain to all of my members how to clear their browser cache?

    Thank you for your help.
