Security > User Security is Blank
-
When I click on Security > User Security, the page is blank.

Hey @toad78 !
That’s certainly not what we’d want. I just tested on a test install here and I’m seeing what I would expect to see on that page.
First, make sure that you’ve updated to the latest version. At the time of this writing, that’s 9.0.0
Without more context, It’s going to be tough isolating what’s going on, but usually when a screen is blank, there’s an error message *somewhere* and we just have to dig it up. Try opening your browser console and seeing if that sheds any additional light. You can right-click anywhere on the screen and select “Inspect” or similar depending on your browser, and that should open the console. Once it’s open, refresh the page and see if there are any errors. If that doesn’t get us any closer to resolution, we’ll need to check server logs or something. Are you seeing anything actionable in the logs at Security > Logs?
There is no indication of an update via WordPress for the plugin nor when I log into iThemes to download the latest. It’s still 8.0.2. So I’m confused.
Hi @toad78, I believe you’re using Solid Security Pro 8.0.2 – which is the latest version. When going to the User Security page, do you see any errors on your browser console and server error logs? If so, please send them here.
Yes.

Hi, @toad78, thank you for sending the console errors; this certainly helps. How about your PHP webserver error logs? Do you see any recent errors that might be related?
Could you also try FTP-ing a fresh copy of the plugin using the steps here and let me know if it helps? Since you’re using Solid Security Pro, please grab the latest version via your SolidWP Member Panel here.
Looking forward to hearing from you!- This reply was modified 1 year, 1 month ago by chandelierrr. Reason: added links
Hi @toad78, could you please let me know if manually installing a fresh copy of the plugin helped? If the User Security page is still blank, can you please check the “Show Avatars” checkbox in WP Admin > Settings > Discussion, then recheck the page? If that helps, please note that we are working hard on releasing a fix for this ASAP, so I’d suggest leaving that setting ON.
Please let me know how it goes!I’ll see if that works and get back to you.
- Manually installing a fresh copy resulted in the same problem.
- I don’t have Avatars enabled, so that’s ruled out.
- This issue seems to be happening on a few sites that I use this plugin (Pro) with, so it’s obviously not just on one site. The sites are installed on different hosting environments and services. A few running PHP 8.0 and a few on PHP 8.2.
Hi @toad78, thanks for getting back so quickly! Could you please confirm this for me: if you enable (check) the “Show Avatars” box and save the settings, does the User Security page load properly?
