I have installed your plugin (love it!). The problem I have is with the security. I am using the ‘members’ plugin and have marked all files as being accessible to a group. When I logout I cannot see the page with the files listed – BUT if I go to that mydomain.com/downloads – I get a page with all the files.

Each file description says that the content is not accessible, but the link to the file is still clickable – and opens the file! I am hoping that this page should not be able to be displayed due to security issues?

Help would be much appreciated as this is a system that needs to go live shortly.

    Hi!
    Sorry for the delay here!
My add-on plugin is not intended as a “hidden” download plugin.
All of these topics/ issues have to do with the base plugin WPDR — my plugin “only” adds different labels, additional taxonomies and stuff – but does nothing to the base functionality of WPDR itself.

Please double check the post status of the document – is it public, private or anything different?

Otherwise I have no knowledge how these things are really handled within WPDR – as I never used it the way you want (I’ve always used small public file manager that’s all…). So cannot really tell you anything relevant. I guess Ben from WPDR has hopefully more for you.

Or, another alternative that may be useful for you, is that plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/media-vault/ —> it can secure attachment files. So you would save WPDR and my plugin (and also Members maybe?) and try this one instead?

    Thanks, Dave ??

Thanks David for your reply. I have managed to get all working now with a combo of plugins and adjustments to other plugins.
