• Will RSVP maker with Chimp Blast allow me to setup a templated blast where we can easily change some content — for example, changing the Event name and date, but using the same map, and header graphic.

Can a website form be used to populate those dynamic fields and/or a recipient list for the email to be sent?

    Thanks!

With Chimpblast, you define a template for your email broadcasts, which can include some of your standard boilerplate artwork, links and so on. Then you create your message out of content pulled from WordPress (and RSVPMaker events, if you’re using that plugin), plus any introductory material you might want to add up top. You then submit all that to the Mailchimp service, which does the hard part of distributing your message.

Currently, the plugin does not make use of server-side templates hosted in the Mailchimp service. I’m working on a new release (updated for their newest API) and may try to add that. But right now, you actually store the email template in WordPress. You can based your Chimpblast template off the stylings of one of the templates from MailChimp, but you’ll need to add the placeholder {content} where the content of your email broadcast is supposed to go.

So I can have chimp blast set up a template and basically export it to mailchimp to distribute? Do I have that right?

    A few more questions:

Can form fields on a HTML or wordpress page populate the template? Can users enter or upload a recipient list to send out? and finally, can evites be send automatically or does someone have to login to mailchimp to schedule?
