Seeing ’ and tags in Facebook after New Post?

Yea, I need this fixed. I’ve always been seeing the <p> </p> tags in facebook, but now I’m starting to see these ’ errors whenever I use a ‘.
Is there a fix for any of these things, it’s really frustrating.

Same problem here. Plus the wrong image is shown with the posting…
you can copy and paste this, then save it as fb-social-publisher.php and upload it. replace the old one. this version will stop html stuff from popping up:

Clearly I don’t think it’s getting fixed. I uninstalled the plugin and just moved on. If someone knows of an alternative (post to FB) plugin, please let me know!
I tried replacing with the above as suggested and now the html code is gone but post says Tweet in it?!?!

I follow a blogger that updates their Facebook page using the WordPress app, but I can’t figure it out.
When she posts to Facebook, the post says, “via WordPress.com” and it links to this app. The problem is…my blog isn’t hosted by WordPress, so I don’t have a login.
I don’t know if that app is available to me since I don’t have a WordPress.com blog.
Idk. I barely understand any of this stuff anyway. I just wish I could figure out how to crosspost to Facebook without the annoying & unnecessary formatting (or lack thereof).
I used the code given above and it got rid of the <p> and other html tags, but it still left the #&8211; which, if I’m understanding things right, should be a dash in my post’s title. Do these simply need to be escaped in the code?
Also, I’m seeing that an excerpt from my post is appearing twice…strange. See the screenshot below:
