The plugin works -but you all know that.
After making changes to a protected page, I want to view it.
When I attempt to see the page, I get the “This page is restricted to our registered members”.

That is fine, but it’s ME! It’s my site. I am logged into the site as admin. So I set up a member with my user name, email, and password. That should do it, but no…
I get an error saying that the user name is OK, but WP has a different email for that user name. I don’t get that, the user name is only listed as an admin on the site, and as a member, but that doesn’t work – it won’t go past the error message.
How do I set this up so I can “visit” my protected pages? I’m baffled.

Hi, are you referring to the website admin user? If you are please read the following documentation.

    Thank you

The plugin is exactly what I need, I installed it, and then imported all of my users [this is a new site, and I only have two admin users, nothing else].
Only problem is that it didn’t work.
First I tried to import selected users, but that didn’t work. Then I tried importing all users. That did work, and I deleted one, and kept the admin that I normally use for login.
I checked the membership, and the admin [me] is there, and it shows the new level I created – with admin authority.
But SM acts the same, still showing the protected message.
Do I have to do something else to get it to work?

Hi can you enable Debug Mode and then try to log in again with the admin account that shows the protected message. Then check the log file. You might be having a conflict between both Admin accounts?

forgive my lack of knowledge, but how do I enable debug mode? I have looked everywhere, both the plugin and WP, but I do not see a debug mode.

Hi if you go to WP Membership -> Settings -> General Settings towards the bottom of that page you will see the following header Test & Debug Settings. Here is where you enable Enable Debug mode.

    Thank you. I missed that.
    The log file has one entry;

[12/24/2015 9:30 PM] – SUCCESS :After login redirection addon. Checking if member need to be redirected.

Right now, I have only one admin user, and that same user is a member of the level adminaccess which has administrator access.
But still, I only get the restricted message.

Can you confirm that you also set up category restrictions?

Did you also add the admin member level to the member’s list to access the post or page you currently see the restriction message?

    Ouch!
Time to feel like an idiot. I did nothing about categories, I will loke for a doc that takes about how to handle them,
however, your second sentence told the story. I did not go back and add the admin to the page I was checking. All works as expected!!!

How do I give you a ten thumbs up for the most amazing support I can imagine? People need to know about your dedication to the plugin.
Thank you VERY much, and have a very happy holiday season!
