seeking just the right calendar plug-in

1. I run a WP 2.0 blog for a summer camp and want to add a static page to it that displays a calendar and a few events (inputted by me) per day. The idea is that people can come to the page and see what’s going on at camp at any given time.

Ideally the calendar would have a month view with a box for each day that I could list 3-4 events within.
Any suggestions for a plug in that can do this?

2. I’d like to have a section in my sidebar outputting the day’s events on the calendar. So users would see a list of all the events going on for that day in chrono order. Any suggestions for plugins that can do this? Thanks!
