• Hi everyone:

This is not a problem topic. I’m just seeking input.

I run a small news website in Arizona using WP and Brian Gardner’s Revolution Media Pro theme.

Almost all of our stories involve some combination of multimedia: Photo slideshows, Podcasts, Video, Interactive Graphics, etc.

I am looking for a plugin or widget that can embed these items in posts or in the sidebar. I think having these lined up side-by-side in a horizontal box across the middle of the post (i.e., MSNBC.com) would be the most effective way of getting these out to the audience, but a sidebar solution would also be welcome. I’ve looked at NextGEN, but that’s it so far.

Could anyone recommend a widget or plugin — or combination of widgets and plugins — that would allow me to pick and choose photos, audio files, and videos to add to a “Multimedia Toolbox” that is laid across the width of a post? I hope such a product is available.

Otherwise, I’ll use <div> tags for video and podcasts and NextGEN for photos.

    Thanks for your time!

    Adam K.

Oh yeah, and cross-browser compatibility would be nice to make sure all those IE users out there can see the stuff.

I am working on a project for a client. They wanted to use the TV Elements theme which is $75. It uses the custom fields to create an MSNBC style website. It takes the key value of embed and positions it at the top of the page.
