• Hello, I don’t know if I have done something wrong or what but just to test the plugin I subscribed to my own blog at the end of one of my posts. I do not know if there is suppose to be a confirmation notice or not but I did not receive one. Anyway, the next post I made I did not receive an email telling me I had made a new post nor have I received one since. This seems to be a very simple plugin to set up so I’m not sure what I could have done wrong. If someone can direct me where to look for the problem I would be eternally grateful. At this time, I have the plugin deactivated.

    Thanks

    Marti

    Hi Marti,

Can you tell us what you’ve done so far? What email list provider you are using? and link to your webpage where the action box is at?

Thank you for responding. Here is the link to one of my blog posts: https://mjsoddballblog.com/703-2/. This is supposed to be a pretty permalink so I don’t know what happened here. And, I am using MailChimp as the mail service. As far as I know I have that set up correctly. All I have done is install the plugin, create the box and tell it where to put the box, which is at the end of the article. That is why I don’t really understand what I could be doing wrong, it is pretty straight forward on the set-up unless there is a key component I missed.

Not sure what’s happening but looking at the generated webpage, the action box seems incomplete.

Could you try resaving the action box again?

If that doesn’t work, could you create a ticket at https://prosulum.zendesk.com

What is it showing/not showing that makes it incomplete. I don’t know what to look for.

What should happen is when you click on the submit button, you will be taken to a mailchimp thank you page. currently, the sign up form is “incomplete”. It does not have the right information to know where to submit the form to.

Thank you. I am still figuring all of this out. I don’t know where it needs to submit the form to, is there something in MailChimp or Magic Action Box I need to do? I don’t know where or what it is. I created my own thank you page and put the redirect url in the url box in Magic Action Box, I didn’t see where MailChimp would create one. I have created a list in MailChimp, but I did not create a group since I have only just created the list and my blog has only been up about 5 months. I am sorry to be such a pain, but this thing has frustrated me to no end. I keep going in and looking at everything, but obviously I am missing something or just don’t know what to look for. Thank you for you assistance though.

The plugin should generate the submit url itself. That’s the thing, it’s not being generated that’s why I said the form is “incomplete”.

And no need to create a group.

Can you create a ticket at https://prosulum.zendesk.com and we’ll take it from there.

Oh ok, I was thinking it was something I was doing. I didn’t realize it was going to generate a submit URL, I wasn’t sure exactly how it worked. I didn’t understand what you meant by incomplete, I thought I had left something out. I will submit a ticket so that the bug can be found and fixed.
Thank you for helping me understand this, I appreciate it.
