Sela mobile not formatting correctly

I turned off the Jetpack mobile theme, because it was causing my site menu to appear as the default wordpress blue and white menu. When I did this, my static home page stopped formatting correctly for mobile devices. The menu is correct, but the floater area isn’t shrinking down- you have to scroll over to read and see all the images. Help!
I’m familiar with the WordPress software, but not with css or html. I’m fine with basic layouts, I just want the images and text to appear correctly.
