    Hi there,

    Please can somebody help me? I am desperately trying to add a slider to my homepage where I am using the sela theme. After hours and hours of searching, I had thought that it just wasn’t possible until I found the website of a woman who had managed to do exactly that!

    Could any of you amazing brains explain how I do it please?

    The lady who has done it website link: https://delilahatkinson.com
    My website link: https://www.frithstreetdesign.co.uk

    Thank you, thank you in advance ??

    While a slider isn’t built into Sela, it looks like the site above is using the Meta Slider plugin. Here is it in case you’d like to try integrating it:

    I discovered this by viewing the site’s browser source and searching for the word “slider” in the code.

    Good luck!

    Hey Frithstreet – i love your design.
    How did yo manage to get the slider on your homepage?

    I can trade you some CSS – you can remove the Footer Text all about WordPress by putting this in your Custom CSS

    .site-info:before {
    visibility: visible;
    content: “? FrithStreet Design 2015”;
    display: block;
    }

    (Use either the Jetpack Custom CSS Plugin or TJ Custom CSS Plug in).

    How did you manage to get the slider on your homepage?

    Looks like they used the same Meta Slider plugin I linked to above.

    Thanks for your response Kathryn.

    I was hoping for a little more detail re the interface – as I have installed the plugin, now I am trying to figure out how to choose it to display, rather than the header.

    Gotcha! If the original poster doesn’t chime in (they may no longer be following this old thread) you might try asking for some configuration help in the plugin’s support forum.

    Thanks Kathryn – I figured it out and it’s pretty simple.

    Once the plugin is activated – an ADD SLIDER button displays on the WYSIWYG Toolbar right next to ADD MEDIA.

    Then you just go in and upload which images you want, play around with the settings and it’s done.

    Thanks for your resilience ??

    That sounds pretty straightforward indeed! Glad you’re all sorted and thanks for sharing the solution.

    Hi there – I’m also looking to add a slider to my homepage. I’ve installed the same plugin but I cannot get the slider to fit max width without any white spacing (so same width/ height as hero image).

    The https://delilahatkinson.com is how it is currently, I want it to fit as it does on https://www.frithstreetdesign.co.uk (lovely, clean site by the way!). Can you help?

    Siobhanh, I’ll reply in your other thread:

    Locking this one now, but if anyone needs further help in the future, please start a new thread. Thanks!
