Select Box optgroup

    Hi John,

    A way to alter the display of a field in a search form is to modify one of the form templates. Were you able to add optgroups to a standard profile field?

    Thanks for the reply. I was not able to add optgroups. Can you help me know which template to modify so that I can have optgroups on my select box please?

    Hi John,

    If you were not able to add optgroups to a standard BuddyPress field, then it’s not possible to add them in a search form.

    In other words, the search form can only reproduce existing features of a BuddyPress field, it cannot add features that are not there in the first place; that’s outside of the scope of BP Profile Search, and unfortunately I’m not aware of other plugins that add optgroups to a BuddyPress select box. Sorry!
