Select error message container

hi there and thanks for this nice plugin.
i’m happy with the overall functionality, but i’d need one more thing:

is it possible to add a selector which gets the container for the error/statuses messages?

by default, these status messages appear fixed on top of the page, but i need them in a static div below my comment form.
