— Select field — is counting as required field

I’ve setup the plugin and specified three fields are required. They each have a “– Choose a protein –” or “– Choose a vegetable –” or “– Choose a carb/grain –” setup in the “First option” field. The one that your notes say is “just for info”. However, this is counting as “completed” and allowing the customer to place the item in the cart without actually selecting an option.

If this field is really only for info, how is it counting as “completed” and if it not, how do I ask them to select, and NOT complete the field for them so they are forced to select and the plugin will warn them if they haven’t?
