We found a small bug that affected Chrome users. It should be fixed now and we released version 1.7.6. Let me know if this works for you or if you need additional support.

    Thanks again for the feedback.

Ahh….we will test on multisite without network activation. That’s a case we did not review. We will try to get this done today but it might be tomorrow.

ok. Network activation would also be fine if this works. Tomorrow is fine for me.

Multisite was not the issue. It was a JS error that has been fixed. Released upgrade in version 1.7.7. Should be working fine now. Let me know if you still have issues with the plugin.

Now i can choose a file after clicking the button “select file”. Afterwords it does not end loading the file and the following error occurs:

The issue appears to be related to adding Special Offers information for new entries. Once an entry is saved, and you are editing the entry, then it works. Since we have no post id for the unpublished entry, we have no way of saving the image. We will be modifying the plugin to make the Edit Offers button only available for entries that have a post-id. Version 1.7.8 is being pushed to WordPress to address the issue.

Many thanks for your persistence in helping us track this issue down to fix it.

In backend editor the file upload now works for existing entries, but this solution is no solution for me because:
    1) It should be possible to enter special offers with file upload when users create a new entry and not only after first saving (everything else needs too much explanation to users/customers)
    2) Actually the button is only shown at existing entries in backend editor. In frontend editor (which is the users standard interface) the button is never shown
    3) The shortcode had no effect in my tests. It just showed the complete shortcode text with brackets and without Link

So the best (agile) next step for me would be:
    1) kill the file upload and coupon shortcode feature for the moment until it works for new entries without bugs.
    2) Make the button available in frontend editor for new entries and existing entries.

With this minimal solution we could just use this plugin to get scheduled plain text offers which is a good first step.

We have fixed items 1 and 2 this morning and have just released the fix. You can now add Special Offers on new listings and you can also add / change special offers from the front end. Also, voucher image uploads work for new listings as well.

As for item 3, we will review the shortcodes over the next week to see what might be causing the issue you are experiencing. Once we make improvements on this area we will do a new release with documentation.

Let me know if there is any additional issues that you find as we are happy to get this plugin working perfectly for you.

    Great support (so far) ??
Now 1-3 works (including item3!). So i can now
    1) Upload a file when entry is new (or not new)
    2) Use the button in frontend editor
    3) AND coupon shortcode works for me as described

Only one new problem is left for this special usecase:
    * You create a new business entry
    * In this new entry you create a new special offer item that has no voucher and save it
    * You then edit this new special offer and add a voucher image and save again.
After that done there is no “save/cancel” button to leave this form and get back to the business editor form.

One additional question: could you explain what “visible date” does besides “start date” and “end date”? An shall “start date” and “end date” be shown in the Special Offer after publishing?

I would expect that there is a “start date”, when the Special offer becomes visible and an “end date” when it vanishes. So “visible date” is one field too much for me to understand this.

    Plugin Author fkestler

    (@fkestler)

Visible date is when the offer is displayed on the front end.
Start date is when the offer takes affect.
End date is when the offer is no longer visible and is no longer available.

For example. Let’s say you are the owner of my favorite pub, Schlenkerla, in Bamberg. Despite the fact that you are distinctly not Irish, you decide to have a 2-for-1 Rauchbier special for Patrick’s day. You want people to see the offer on Wednesday, but they cannot take advantage of the offer until Friday. The plugin will display it on the visible date (Wednesday) but will show the offer Starting on Friday and ending on Friday. This way you can give advance notice to people for special events, etc.

    Plugin Author fkestler

    (@fkestler)

For example – this would be displayed on the front-end:

    St Patricks Day Special
    Starts: 17 March, 2017 Ends: 17 March, 2017
Buy one Rauchbier get one Rauchbier free. Limit 10.
