    Hi Olivier,

    Thank you for the feedback.

So when you don’t select a picture (ie. “Master picture URL” field is left blank in the Appearance > Favicon setup form), there is no such error?

That might come from a special character in the URL, although this case seems to be covered. Strange.

Could you tell me the URL of your picture, as displayed in the “Master picture URL” field? It should be something like https://myblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/favicon_master.png. If you don’t want to disclose this URL here, please mail it to me at [email protected].

    Best Regards,
    Philippe

    Hi Philippe,

OK, I think this is my mistake. I am testing the plugin on localhost environment and it doesn’t work in there. Once I’ve tested it on live website, it works fine.

Is this the case? I can’t test the plugin on localhost?

    Thanks and regards,

    Oliver

Oh, ok. Yes, you can just leave this field blank. You will have the opportunity to pick a picture on your PC directly from RealFaviconGenerator.

I’m surprise by the message you saw in the first place. You were supposed to see something like “Cannot download picture at https://localhost/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/demo_favicon.png”, which is more accurate. What was your URL exactly?

    Best Regards,
    Philippe
