I have been trying this with 3 different themes, same issue:

When in Appearance > Customize > Header/BackgroundImage/etc I just cant upload images. When I tap the “select image” button, it clicks, but nothing happens. I can’t get the box for selecting images.
I have no trouble uploading media at the WP dashboard. It just happens inside the Customize menu.
I tried different browsers (chrome, Safari and Firefox) in two different macs.

It’s really annoying. Can someone please help me?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Seventeen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I am having this EXACT same issue across all themes (including Twenty Seventeen). It’s also across different browsers and different computers. Same issue as juliabc posted… media upload works fine, but not in the Customize sections. When running Debug, it works. Instructions on that page say to post here with that important detail. Any pointers? juliabc… did you find the solution for yours?

In Health Check’s troubleshooting mode, start re-activating each plugin individually until you find the one causing the problem.

Hi there, James – Thanks for the reply. This is a brand new install and no plugins are activated other then the Health Check.

Since it works with the script_debug running, what is it that script_debug is changing or bypassing?
