select role at registration

  • Hi All,

    I would like the option to customise the registration process a little. Add additional fields but more importantly, give the user an option of roles.

    Is this possible? I’ve googled a fair bit but not found anything.

    Not without a role management or scoper plugin.

    How would role management or scoper work? I need to add my own fields and set a particular role as default. The admin can toggle the role.

    Once a member has an account, they can only access certain pages/sub pages, depending which role they have.

    Is this too far beyond wordpress?
