Select WordPress Users by e-mail and not by name

Greetings,

In the upload page, selecting the option “Selected WordPress Users” to allow only a specific user to see/download the document, the “Find User” field uses the customer’s name instead of a more reliable field that would be the customer’s e-mail.

Can that be changed in any way, so that users are searched through their e-mail address instead of their name. We have several users with the same first and last names, making it impossible to associate a specific document to one of them in these conditions.
