    Hi @s15webdesign

The gateway titles and descriptions are pulled from a template when the plugin is first set up. Then the plugin saves an option in the database for all gateways. This option includes the title, description, etc. for each gateway.

So for example, when the WordPress site is configured in English while setting up Mollie, all gateways will save an option with the English strings. If you were to change the WordPress language, the gateway titles/descriptions remain in English.

At this time, the only way to have Mollie always pull the gateway title/description from the translation files is by deleting the option in the wp_options table.
If you want the “Select your bank” text from the Ideal gateway to be pulled from the translation files, delete the mollie_wc_gateway_ideal_settings option.
Until a new option was created (e.g. the gateway was saved), the plugin will pull the strings from the translation files and not from the gateway db option.

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Thanks for the feedback, @s15webdesign!

Please keep in mind that a new option will be created when the gateway settings are saved.

So there is room for improvement here for better compatibility with certain multilingual setups, and the team will investigate possible options.

For the time being, I’ll mark this thread resolved and for any further questions or suggestions, I suggest getting in touch with the?Mollie Support Team?directly. Thank you!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

This solution does not work with multilingual websites. It would be better to make this text translatable using WordPress standard localization logic in the source code of the plugin.

While the plugin code currently includes logic to overwrite the default texts on each payment method and it does support translations of the default text, it does not support translations of the overwritten texts. Also, the way it is currently coded, it seems it always considers a text to be overwritten and thus does not support translations at all.
