Selecta theme: video embed in posts only display hyperlink… wtf?

Well, I apologize right off the bat for being a retarded noob, but my mom thinks I’m cute and I could use some help. I am using the Selecta theme that supposedly supports video embeds. I uploaded a 20 second mp4 with no audio of my After Effects project that I want to embed in a sticky post, but alls I end up with is a hyperlink. I’ve tried to find info on what formats are supported in this theme and I can’t find any mention of it. I’ve tried several players, but they’re either way too much for minimally displaying a short clip or the code for autoplaying/looping is shit, because it will do neither. Please don’t hate me for not knowing code well enough, I went to art school… and I’m a girl. And a sexist one at that. (I know, I know, get back in the kitchen…)
