Selectable Recipient with Pipes not working

I am having the same issue as a lot of people on this thread, but none of them seem to have an answer on how to fix it! Can you please help me with this!!

It works fine if I don’t use the pipes, but it shows the email. I want to be able to use the pipes, but when I insert the pipes it doesn’t work.

This is my form code:

[text* your-name] </label>

<label> Your Email*
[email* your-email] </label>

<label>Send To:*
[select* your-recipient “It Support|[email protected]” “General Inquiry|[email protected]”] </label>

<label> Subject
[text your-subject] </label>

<label> Your Message
[textarea your-message] </label>

[submit “Send”]

This is what I have in my Mail Tab for the To field:

[your-recipient]

update: it starting working out of no where on this form, however it is still not working on another form, and I have the same code. I didn’t make any changes.
