Selected products at homepage?

  • Hello,

    Is it possible with pro version to have products from a given category (ie. featured) to be displayed scrolling at homepage?
    I cannot find the custom post type of the catalog but maybe there is another way for doing so and if possible without using woocommerce?

    You could use the product catalog widgets to display a few products as “Featured Products” on your homepage or any other page as you may wish to do so. You could also use
    [insert-products product_ids=”1,2,3,4″] shortcode to display selective products.

    Thanks for this but I was asking for products from a given category only and having them scrolling at homepage. Is this possible?

    Hi John,

    Unfortunately UPCP currently doesn’t have any scrolling widgets and all products that appear in the existing widgets can only be targeted with their ID numbers.

    We’ve taken note of both of these ideas as a feature requests and will discuss the viability of implementing it in a future update.

    One thing to mention: we’ve recently put out a very large update for UPCP, so we might be slower to implement any feature requests for the next while.

    Thanks but, in the meanwhile, I found out that you also have your own theme that allows having “featured” products shown at homepage. They have to be selected one by one though and there is no scrolling feature.

    That would be nice to have in the future, for the PRO version at least.

    The featured products option in our theme works differently than that in the plugin. We will anyways look forward and discuss the viability of implementing the featured products option (including scrolling feature) in UPCP plugin in the future. Thank you for the suggestion.
