Selecting “Exclude user from Author-sitemap” in Settings breaks sitemap page

When editing a User, I have scrolled down and checked the box for “Exclude user from Author-sitemap”. This should keep the “Author” sitemap from displaying on the sitemap page. Doing so, however, breaks the page and displays no sitemap data.
