    Hi there,

I have two questions regarding the taxonomies and terms. I would really appreciate if somebody could chip in with some thoughts or help.

    1)
For “Get post by ‘Taxonomy and Term'” is it possible to select two taxonomies? E.g. I have a taxonomy of *services* (terms: housecleaning, car cleaning, food delivery service) and a taxonomy *city* I′d like to get say 5 or so posts tagged with terms *food delivery service* AND *Birmingham*. Is that possible or could you suggest a solution or a workaround?

    2)
When selecting more than one term in a certain taxonomy, the logic is OR, isn’t it? Is it possible to change that logic to show post with *term 1* AND *term 2*?

    Cheers

  • I would also like logic term1 AND term2 – is there a way to do this with this plugin?

    Thanks

    Hi Herrmann & adajones,

    1) It is not possible to select multiple taxonomies.
    2) Technically, the operator for multiple terms is “IN” (this is the default). This equates to “OR” as supposed to “AND” per your question, yes.

Thanks for your thoughts. FPW it intended to be simple enough that it covers the 80% of use cases. Even I have to write custom widgets/queries for about 20% of the work I do. You are welcome to use the query arguments filter I have in place, $args = apply_filters( 'dpe_fpw_args', $args );, to get FPW to do what you need, or feel free to clone it, hack it, or just write your own custom queries for the more complex combinations.

    Thanks again!
