    Hi holgerhubbs,

    The idea is good. But, if the no. of departments should be dynamic then effort would be more however if you have fixed no. of departments the effort would be less. I guess from popup menu you mean widget in the sidebar(which is already there) in front end and not the usual popup that suddenly shows up on an action say page refresh.
