Selecting tabs from Javascript links (external and internal)

First of all, thank you very much for this plugin!
I would very much like to have an external link go to a page and have a particular tab selected. Another tab plugin uses a javascript link to be able to accomplish this. Can you please take a look at that plugin’s sample links on the bottom of this page?:

There is code for external links as well as internal links. Can a similar javascript link select your tabs?
I read your previous solution for using anchor links, but I really need to have a particular tab pre-selected.
