  • Where did you install WordPress on your domain?

at the root of my web host, which confirmed by filezilla as all files transferred successfully

Did you upload the entire wordpress folder or just its content? Is Filezilla configured to show all files?

when i go to the cpanel i can see all three folders wp-admin wp-content wp-includes

Can you see them using Filezilla? Are you sure you uploaded WordPress to your web root folder (sometimes called public_html)?

hi i transferred the files to public_html and it worked, now trying to import my contents and got this message:

    Import WordPress
Before you can upload your import file, you will need to fix the following error:

Unable to create directory /home/oprc/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2011/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Howdy! Upload your WordPress eXtended RSS (WXR) file and we’ll import the posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags into this site.

Choose a WXR file to upload, then click Upload file and import.
