Self hosting WP 4.4.1, cannot get IFTTT to connect

Hello. I have seen in the past that people have had issues connecting their self-hosted WP installation with IFTTT. I am hoping to use it to automate posting of specific Instagram photos (ones that I “like” from the app) to my page. It connects to IG just fine, but WP says “Unable to verify WordPress credentials. Please try again.” I know the credentials are correct, I used them to log in to the site before I tried the IFTTT connection.

Has anyone been able to resolve this? Pretty sure 2 factor is not enabled (can’t even find a setting for it in the self-hosted version), so I don’t think that is the issue.
