Did you upload the large file via FTP?

yes I have uploaded my files by sftp with winscp. I can move the files directly on the server to the directory i want

You will need to use a plugin like this to import those into WordPress so EDD can read them: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/add-from-server/

thanks pippin, it works for files less than 2GO for bigger size I have some problem, all these big ones are truncated to 2GO

    (@mordauk)

    Truncated when you download them?

    Thread Starter gilbau

    (@gilbau)

no, for example one file in my main directory (on server) is 3 344 946 KB

and the file is copied by the plugin in wp-content/uploads/1970/01 but with only 2 097 152 KB
and the problem is with others big files I tried

All the files with less than 2 097 152 KB are in the right size when they are copied par the plugin (from server to wp-content/uploads/ directory

I have succeded in putting directly in my own /wp-content/uploads/my_directory
    but in wp-admin/post.php?post=1111111&action=edit

I need to write directly the full link sometimes in the “upload or enter the file URL”, because the “upload” menu and then “Add form server” “media library” “insert into post” leave a blank “Upload a File or URL” case

    File Downloads:
    File Name File URL

Does it work properly when you manually enter the URL?

    Thread Starter gilbau

    (@gilbau)

Yes it works fine by entering manually the full url

Is that an option for you? It appears to be a conflict with the Add from Server plugin. We can definitely look into it but I cannot provide an exact timeframe for it.

hi effectivly in fact, my customers can’t download the whole files, there are downloaded with differents sizes and not the right size, so I can use the protected links for the right video links

    I wanted to write :

so I can’t use the protected links for the right video links

Since the files are so large, I’d really recommend hosting them on a service like Amazon S3. Most hosting accounts have trouble reliably delivering files that large.
