Selling music on WordPress

  • We are looking to move this site (https://bit.ly/2jEJWSY) from Wix to WordPress and are trying to find a plugin that will display the MP3 files similar to how they are displayed in Wix. We’re looking to offer 30-second samples of the songs and the ability to purchase more than one song in one transaction. With Wix, you can only purchase one song at a time. Does anyone know of a solution or plugin for this? We looked at Music Player and Music Seller, but are hoping there are other options. Thanks.

    WooCommerce is an incredibly popular e-commerce solution for WordPress. There are others, but this is by far the most popular. It natively supports downloadable products. The default layout will look nothing like your Wix site, though exact appearance depends on the theme you select. While the plugin is rather difficult to customize, it does offer plenty of hooks to do so. It’s mainly a matter of learning what’s available, it’s difficult because there’s a lot to learn.

    The point is, it may not do exactly what you want by default, but it can more than likely be made to do so with some custom coding work. It also has a slew of commercial and free extensions available to do all sorts of extra things. You may find something fairly close to your needs, removing or minimizing the need for custom work.
