Selling products/services in person setting?

    Hello,

    When I installed WooCommerce it had a checkbox for this question:

    I will also be selling products or services in person

    I can’t find much information on this – what functionality does checking this give? What is the difference when not checked?

    Good question, I’ll also like to know this. And can you add this later, if you don’t tick it in the startup wizard?

    During the setup wizard, you’ll notice that some suggestions are made about plugins that might be helpful for your setup. For example, depending on your location, you might get suggestions to use Stripe to take payments, or WooCommerce Services to help you with shipping fulfillments and automated taxes.

    That setting about selling products in person also helps inform those suggestions. Checking that box could result in other plugin suggestions like Square, which could be useful to customers who also have a physical store location.

    Other than those initial suggestions, checking or not checking that option does not have any impact in the functionality of WooCommerce.
