• I’ve used this plugin a few times on different sites and never had a problem, even with WooCommerce but this plugin is broken with the lastest version of WooCommerce, maybe it’s this version of wordpress (or something else). Badge is displayed on EVERY page regardless of settings, even if failed login attempts are set to something other than 0 (or v2/v3 settings). No longer works with my login, registration, or forms of any kind. A first visit to my site from a different browser triggers the picture captcha every time. I’ve tried many different settings such as v2 invisible with hide for logged in users, without hiding, changing failed attempts from 0 to 3 or 6, v2 with inline, v3 etc..

First attempt after a 30 minute break time and the first page refresh triggered the picture captcha, placed it at the very bottom of the page just before the footer while failed attempts is set to 3, v2 invisible and not hidden from logged in users. Badge still displayed at bottom right of every page. I guess I’ll be testing other captcha plugins for now but I would like to continue using this plugin if it can be helped.

This would be about the 5th time I’ve used this specific plugin on a different site, so I DO like the plugin. I’ve also tried changing the string on line 138 in the ANR class php file to the string suggested in another post here but it made zero difference.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I have visited your website but could not see the issue. Is it working now?
If not please do the following and let me know.

    1. Enable V2 Checkbox captcha (use site/secret key for that type)
    2. If there any caching plugin disable that.

Then please check and let me know.

No, disabled it since it doesn’t work on logins, registration, password reset, lost password, comments or even forms… hadn’t had this problem with this plugin in the past. disabled it so I could move forward in the time being. One thing I did notice was wordfence’s Login Security implementation was forcing the badge to be shown no matter what setting your plugin was set to.

If possible create a staging site for testing.
I am using latest version of wordpress with this plugin and seems working perfectly.
We can test further in your website to see if we can resolve this.

I’ll create you a login, site is not live. Just tested again since disabling Wordfence Login Security’s captcha settings. I now see it on register and lost password but not login and I don’t have woocommerce’s checkout or payment options configured yet to test checkout captcha and haven’t checked comments yet. Spam bots are a big problem these days and last time I forgot to protect the comments I ended up with a thousand posts of spam on product pages.
