Semiologic 4.0 and new WP version

I figured out what version of WP I’m running. It’s listed as “version 2.1” when I view the bottom of the Admin screen. But what’s really strange is when I log into Cpanel, under Fantastico, it says I’m running WP version 2.0.2. Which one is correct?

Only remaining question–> Do I have to upgrade to WP 2.0.2 in order to use Semiologic version 4.0 beta?

Sounds like you should be fine running both widgets and Semiologic.

What you see in the adminpanel is what you are running.

Fantistico is just a 1-click install program and is only as up to date as cpanel is, and doesn’t necessarily mean you even installed it from there.

just a simple and maybe misplaced question. The new version of Semiologic can I just upload that and switch to it (moving custom.css). Can I still switch from 2 to 3 columns?

And finally where do I get it? I just found a version that looks very different from the old themes.

custom.css needs a bit of tweaking. in essence, change all occurrences of .post into .entry. also, it needs to be dropped in the skin directory.

the download is on the theme’s page. v.4 is still undocumented.

The latest and greatest version of WordPress is 2.0.2. There is a Alpha 2.1 version though, still A LONG way from being “released” or even a “beta”, correct me if I’m wrong about the very last wording though.. =/

And I think maybe even the “Nightly Builds” page stuff.. I dunno, but if I remember right, when I downloaded the latest “Nightly Version”, it was an Alpha 2.1.. =/

yeah, I suppose. somewhere next week is likely. And noone but developers shouldn’t be using WP 2.1. It’s still far too buggy for a production site! ??
