For some time now I’ve looked for some way to secure the wp login when forced to use unsecured wireless access points, like those in cafes and etc.
    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/search.php?q=semisecure

This is seems to be exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve installed it and I can login without error.

How can I tell that it is working? It’s operation is so quiet, I can see no indication (other than plugin page saying it is activated).

Author’s homepage is devoid of info and docs offer no info about verification.

    Thanks!!

I disabled js in the browser and that produced no visible errors. (just as docs indicated)

I installed ff browser extension Live http headers and by reading the actual headers I see that the password is being tranmitted via md hash.

Seems to be a *great* plugin. Does just what it says it will do. Just very, very quietly.

I’m not sure if you saw, but the plugin has been updated to include the “status notification” functionality. Thanks for your feedback!
