    when one signs a petition he does not receive the confirmation email.
    I have installed a plugin for sending emails via smtp of which I have tested the sending but the emails are not sent and I am not even received in SPAM.

    Can you clarify please. Do you mean that they are not receiving the email to confirm their signature? I have just tested that at https://SpeakOut.123host.net.au and it worked for me.

    It looks to me like you don’t have that enabled. I say this because after I signed, the number of signatures increased. If people *must* confirm their signature, the signature count won’t increase until they do that.

    Or do you mean something else?

    you were right it wasn’t enabled
    I thought I had it enabled in the general configurations instead it had to be enabled within the petition.

    Thanks for the update. Glad it was so easy to fix.

    Was there an option that was a bit confusing? I am happy to make things more clear.

    global settings there is an entry called “Default email verification”

    Thanks…but where do you see that?

    I go to dashboard> SpeakOut> settings and can’t see it in any of the tabs ??

    how can I send you a screenshot?
    Keep in mind that I use it in Italian and the voice I see is “Verifica via email predefinita”
