Send fields as unordered list?

Pods has the option “Display format”, but it gets ignored when passing the field data to bricks builder form element. So, if I have person 1 and person 2 attached to post, in form checkbox it looks like this:

person 1, person 2

and I want this:
person 1
person 2

Are there any arguments or parameters I could use inside {field name} that could achieve this?
