Newsletters are not being sent when there are new posts despite being configured to “send immediately when there is new content.” Test emails work fine, as does changing the newsletter to send when there are new subscribers. However, no matter what I post, the newsletter does’t get sent. And the newsletter page has a blank in the “Sent On” column. Seems that a new post is not triggering the newsletter to be sent.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Bret,

It sounds like you might have a cron issue. Can you give these articles a read?

Our premium users can use the MailPoet cron, but (assuming you’re not a premium user), you may need to set up a cron job on your server.

    Thanks!

Hi, Also cannot get the “immediate” command to work.
I have read numerous forum posts and tried every suggestion. All test emails worked perfectly in the Settings and setup of the newsletter command. Next: I set up to use Third Party thinking that was my problem (SendGrid), but newsletter of latest post still would not go out. I’d post new and it would say that it is waiting 48 minutes to send. I’d deactivate the newsletter command and reactive it and the time would refresh to less time but that would freeze also and not go out. I have added a cron job in my cpanel for once every minute, but that didn’t help, including set up the Mailpoet cron setting in Advnce. Perhaps I’m overkill since I have a small subscptn list. I changed back to “Send with your own site.” Nope still the same. One slight change–the newsletter status says “The last batch of emails should start sending automatically in the next few minutes.” That was 20 minutes ago. Still hasn’t sent.
Frustrated and looking for simple answer for my small simple newsletter command. I hope that you can help.
    Jeff
