I’m doing a test for all our webshops to use Send in blue in combination with WP Mail SMTP. I noticed that the emails where send not secured. I contacted Send in Blue and they told me the following:

The SMTP port listed by default is Port 587 and this is used without a secure connection. If you would like to use a secure connection, (SSL or TLS), please use Port 465. Can you let us know if you have already tried this?

However i cant find a setting to change this. Is this something only possible in the pro version or should i setup the mailer setting with custom SMTP service instead of clicking on the send in blue icon.?

  • Hi @eeuweb,

You shouldn’t have to adjust any port settings if the Sendinblue mailer is configured properly with WP Mail SMTP. When you set up the Sendinblue mailer, did you follow our Sendinblue setup guide? If not, please give that a try.

If you are still facing an issue with insecure emails, please send us the full error details by going to WP Mail SMTP > Tools in your dashboard and sending a test email. You’ll see the option to view the full error log as shown in this screenshot.

    Thanks!

Hi @eeuweb – We haven’t heard from you in about a while, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
