send me email when a scheduled post is ‘missed schedule’?

  • It doesn’t happen often enough for me to use a plugin which runs all the time, but how about getting an email when one of my scheduled posts doesn’t go up on time?

    Anyone know how to set this up? Currently I just get lucky and happen to notice that a scheduled post is not up yet, but an email alert would be perfect.

  • If a scheduled post is missed, that usually means that there’s a problem somewhere. So trying to rely on an email being sent when the site already has a problem probably isn’t the best way to deal with it. Far better to try and locate the scheduling problem.
