    Hi again,

your theme (and/or one/some of your plugins) uses a – very old (v1.5) – version of jquery overwriting the version (1.7.2) that comes with your wordpress installation (3.4.2) (and – on top of that – it does so more than once)

if you look at your source, you’ll see
    2x https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5/jquery.min.js
    as well as
    https://jonesfoodstore.com/wp-content/themes/simfo/js/jquery.js (which is also v1.5)

once you fix that I’m reasonably sure it will work as intended

I see… okay… I may update it… hoping that will not mess up the theme!

Many thanks for your quick reply!

to be honest, i have no idea why some themes as well as plugins think it’s a good idea to dequeue the jquery that comes with wordpress and decide that only their version should be used (which in turn means it never upgrades to later/better/more secure versions)
worse still – as is the case in your theme – it unnecessarily loads both versions with all the overheads and speed implications …..

there are quite a few cases with plugins and themes where this has been done and I am certainly not the only one that – to put it mildly – questions the wisdom of this

anyway. marking this as resolved, but feel free to open a new thread if you have any other problems once you’ve updated jquery
