Send-To, Mail-to, Contact us and all mailing functions are disabled by host

    I am using wordpress for over 3 years and have it updated regularly. I have realised that the mailing service been disabled and when I contacted with my host, they informed me due sending spams and … mails, they do not let software to use the mailing system with an address that is not for my domain.

    As you may know, using the mailing service provided by hosts are headech and time wasting. I use Gmail instead of my domains mail. Now, they do not let me use Gmail as the main address in WordPress installation. They sugest to use address like: [email protected]

    I was wondering, while this function is disabled by the host, who colud comment notification and trackback notifire works perfectly? Also, when they works, how could it be possible to modify the core to use the same for plugins and others?

    I have to add that I have cheked that the password recovery works fine (not sure for future time!)

    Any ideas or any plugin you know working in this situation pleas let me know. Thete are loads of peps are having the same problem I know.

    ?s it only my problem or there is no solution found yet?

    My site is not useable any more because of having disabled the mail function by host!
