Currently having an issue with sending out emails to specific email addresses/users. Is it possible to send an email to a single email address only that is part of a list? Or even input an email address directly from the Send window? Kindly advise.

We will truly appreciate your help.

    Hi there,

While the MailPoet Welcome emails/WooCommerce emails/etc automatically send out to single users, the Newsletter functionality is meant for sending out to lists of users or segments, rather than individual users.

If you wanted to manually send an email to a specific user, you would need to create a new list for that specific user and add them to the list, and then send to that list.

Alternatively, you could just email them directly from your email client instead.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi Kelly, thank you for the information. Sorry that I was unable to elaborate my question in a well manner. We happen to be in a need of using some templates (think of custom order specific updates) and send it to specific customers. So essentially they are usually one-time emails only and adding all of them in separate list would be a lot of work. Do you have any suggestion for us? Thanks!

    Hi @hashc1

Would these be custom emails for each recipient, like follow-up emails? If that’s the case, and you want something more automated, that won’t be possible.

If it’s something temporary and you can use the same template, I would suggest sending a preview of a newsletter created for this to each subscriber individually.

I am looking to send one test email to a known subscriber, so this topic is of interest to me.
I have attempted to send several emails as notifications of recent posts. They have landed just fine with viewers on laptops, but mobile users did not get the photography that was included. As a food blog, this is pretty bad for our reputation. I want to see if the problem has been resolved, as I have not been promised notification of its resolution, which appears to be a problem within MailPoet. Have I been informed correctly? Obviously I don’t want to send to my entire list.
Making a separate list of one trusted subscriber looks like my best bet. Is there a better option, like having MailPoet inform me when the problem has been resolved?

    Hi there @harriettscooking ????

Thanks for posting. I’m trying to fully understand what you want now.

If the issue is related to this sentence below I’ll be happy to help:

They have landed just fine with viewers on laptops, but mobile users did not get the photography that was included.

If what you want is to know when MailPoet will allow to send individual emails that is not in our roadmap and so you shouldn’t expect to see it deployed soon.

Please keep us posted, we’ll be glad to help!

    Cheers

Thank you for responding. I have figured out how to make a list with just one subscriber, so I am able to check to see how my emails look.
My concern is that the photographs no longer appear on mobile devices, in my emails to all subscribers. This is a recent development and I am not sure why this is so. Is it because of the issues that you are having with Verizon software? I have been without functional email for three weeks now. This is not acceptable, and I don’t have a timeline for when the problem will be resolved. Can you tell me?

    Hi there @harriettscooking,

So if I got it right, emails checked on mobile devices don’t have any images included. Is that correct?

If so, can you please let us know which mobile devices are having this issue?

We’ve seen it on iOS devices when Load Remote Images is disabled on a device in Settings > Mail. Can you please check if that’s the case?

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Hi @harriettscooking,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Hi Bruna,
Unfortunately my business could not afford any more time to wait for Mailpoet to resolve its issues. I moved my mailing list to another service.
    Thank you for inquiring.
