• Hi

I am using contact form 7 plugin and I want to send users who fill out the form to a thank you page.
    How can I do that?

  • I’m not sure what everyone is doing incorrectly. The method Kelton describes works perfectly fine. Just add that snippet of code to the Additional Settings in your Dashboard > Contact and then the form in question.

I get the redirection. I just need to figure out how to get rid of the “Successful submission” message box that appears by default. It flashes it and then redirects the page.

    Kelton, ideas on that one?

    Thanks!

I don’t understand the reason why we can’t hide the form on successful completion. That removes the need to redirect to another page.
Has anyone coded the [response] tag to make it an if statement, so that if sent=ok, hide the rest of the form?
    Is that possible?

As scobb99 and many others have said adding the snippet of code
    on_sent_ok: “location = ‘https://examplepage.com/?page_id=33’;”
    does NOT work.

It may work for some but it definitely doesn’t work for me.

So where’s the plug-in developer in all this? Haven’t seen any response from him. Does he even read these posts?

My “thank you” page redirection stopped working two updates back. Like others have said I have used the “on_sent” string in the Additional Settings and it doesn’t work for me, either.

If the developer doesn’t address this issue soon then I’m just going to find another contact form solution.

I need to set up a seperate landing page for a site I am doing. can this be done? I have seen the solution mentioned above but this is not working for me either.

Althouth it is a contact form I want to use to gather information before redirecting. (printing company – gather information for a business card) on submission redirect to WP-Ecommerce where they can select numbers, quntities etc before payment.

I have the form looking perfect. thinking it would be a simple selection of a seperrate landing page. im now at a loss? please help?

From what I gather from the other posts the developer does not want to add this for what ever reason. Has anybody found a solution. (other than the one above and There was another that entailed editing the php, this is not good for me as i need more than one re-direct for different products)

    Thanks

    Lee

Can anyone recomend another form builder as simple as contact form 7 that will allow me to do this?

    Thanks

    Lee

    Momossy,

I got rid of Contact Form 7 and went with Fast and Secure Contact Form. Not only is this contact form plugin safer and more secure, but it’s also very easy to use and the plugin developer actually answers a lot of the questions in his support forum.

This worked for me posted by takayukister:

For WP 3.0 users, try the development version, please. It should have fixed the bug.

    Sorry for this inconvenience.

I don’t need a thank you page but is it possible that when someone fills out the form that I created, that it would be emailed to all the users that are users in my wordpress database?

    Thank you so much!

Hi. This does not work for me either. My client absolutely wants it to redirect to a thank you page. Mainly because after the form is sent the green ajax note does not appear in view because this form is so long. suggestions?
