    Hi guys
Great plugin, and I’ve been using it on several sites without issue pretty much since launch, after you came to my rescue after a hack-attack. ??
But on 1 of my sites I am seeing this timeout error whenever I try to change pretty much anything on the site (error below from updating a post just now).
I first started seeing this about a month ago, and googling didn’t help. I see that no one else is really having this issue either, although some people are reporting the Sucuri Dashboard is unavailable (white screen) and I am seeing that too.

Any help/advice appreciated, and keep up the great work. ??

Sucuri: (1446423116) Send_log: Connection timed out after 20020 milliseconds. This generally happens when the API service fails to respond in time, you currently have configured the plugin to discard the network connection after 1000 seconds. Wait a few minutes until the issue is resolved by itself, or change the timeout limit from the general settings page of the plugin, the option is named “API request timeout”.

Yes, I contacted one of my co-workers in the infrastructure team, they are investigating the issue which was already reported by premium clients too. This seemed to occur during the night, but I do not have access to those servers, so lets wait until my co-workers give me some information.

Hello, my co-worker sent a message several hours ago to all the Sucuri team about a networking issue with one of our providers that affected multiple boxes used by CloudProxy [1] and other internal projects like wordPress.sucuri.net; this should be fixed at the moment. I will plan a modification of the code that powers the plugin to handle a situation like this a bit better in the future.

Is this problem solved? I notice similar issues on one of my sites.

    Thanks.

@josjee some people have reported that installing the development version of the plugin [1] fixes the issue since it contains changes in the code that was included to fix these connection timeouts. If you agree to install this version of the code, go to the “API Service” panel located in the plugin’ settings page, change the value of the “API Request and SSL” option to “Stop peer’s cert verification”, then change the value of the “API Request Timeout” option to something lower than five seconds. These changes should help address the issue, let me know if it works for you.
