• There is a problem with the mail header, which is generated by the plugin.

550 5.7.1 Email rejected by DMARC policy for yahoo.de

The reason for this is that the address from the form is used as sender e-mail address. The sender’s e-mail address should always belong to a domain of the mail server for delivery.

One solution would be to adapt the mail header:

    From: <sender name> <recipient mail address>
    Reply to: <sender name> <sender mail address>
    To: <recipient name> <recipient mail address>

    Currently the mail header are:

    From: <sender name> <sender mail address>
    To: <recipient name> <recipient mail address>

Sorry for my english – it’s not the best, I know! ??

  • I see the same issue. Perhaps started happening with recent WordPress version updates . I notice it’s not yet been tested on version 4.9.4.

Thanks for sharing the possible cause of this issue. Perhaps Meg will make the necessary update.

I submitted a form on Meghan’s site, asking if I could help test. ?? Also mentioned this issue in my email. Hopefully we’ll hear back.

    Hi there,

Yes some email providers will not let you send an email from a different domain address. You can override the ‘from’ address on the settings screen:

On the settings screen of the contact form tick ‘Override ‘From’ Address :‘ and then enter an email address that you own in the ‘‘From’ Email Address :‘ box underneath.
