    Hello,

When I edit the general settings -> Sender name and make it Rosie O’Grady’s.
The name is saved with backslashes before the apostrophes – when I refresh the settings page the name looks like this: Rosie O\’Gray\’s
When an email notification is sent, one more backslash is added and Sent name looks like: Rosie O\\’Grady\\’s

Please advise how to fix this bug. Plugin Version 1.10.2
    Thanks,

    Kirill

Hi Kirill, thank you for contacting us.

I’m really sorry to hear that you are having issues with Forminator, I was wondering if you could please confirm the database encoding that you are using?

You can see this in the wp-config.php file.

I ask this because we ran test on two different sites but couldn’t reproduce the issue.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hello Jorge,

    The character set is utf8

One more thing, this is happening only on Settings page – Form Headers. When I save any name with apostrophe and return to the settings page (not refresh the page) – backslashes shows up
    01.02.2020-09.30.52

This does not happen when I change sender name (From Name) in the actual form Notifications section
    01.02.2020-09.32.20

    This is repeatable error.

    Regards,

    Kirill

    Hello @hostnet

I was able to replicate in my end and already created a task for our developers, so they can include a fix in a future release. I really can’t provide any specific version or estimated time, so please keep an eye for an update notification and don’t forget to always backup your site before proceeding with these. If there’s any other development on that specific task, we’ll keep you updated here. ??

    Thank you,
    Dimitris
