• Hi there,

Firstly I’d like to thank the developer for the wonderful job he does.
    Thank You very much, sir!

However there is a kind of a bad bug with the last version.
The form sends the message with wrong sender’s email.
instead of [email protected] it puts in the field the servers mail address which in my case is something like [email protected]
It comes as quite of a problem, because when I reply it sends the reply to my server’s address.

Can you, please, look into that?

Once again, thank you for the good work.

How have you set up the mail?

Thank you for the quick reply.

I set my Contact Form about three years ago, and did not change anything on it.
    It was working perfectly.
The problem appeared after the last update, few days ago.

    The settings are as follow:

    To:
    [email protected]

    From:
    [your-name] <[your-email]>

    Subject:
    [your-subject]

I’m getting the same issue, simply cannot get the reply address to be that which the user has entered… help?!

Maybe your mail host is doing something.

well the email host is Hotmail, so can you confirm that your plugin will work with them in the way we expect?

If my host did something, it has to be very weird coincidence, because the bug appeared with the last update.
Any way, I’ll ask them, but I’d guess that they did nothing.
Thanks for taking the issue in consideration.

@pwhitrow – As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

Posting in an existing topic and taking over the original posters question is generally considered inappropriate.

Added to which, your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.

hmmmm… I would tend to agree if it was off topic. I was simply trying to save the Dev from answering twice and also keeping it within one thread would help the original poster, as the problems are exactly the same. Mea Culpa I guess… Sorry Dev and Truden

@buzztone, I don’t mind people commenting in “my own topic” as long as the problem get fixed.
There is no need to discipline the participants in a topic which is not “your own”.

I also am having this problem

    From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
    Subject: [your-subject]

    Message Body:
    [your-message]

    shows sender as:
    <[email protected]>

    Any help would be amazing!

RE: I was simply trying to save the Dev from answering twice and also keeping it within one thread would help the original poster, as the problems are exactly the same.

I understand but it generally makes it harder for the Developer and other people answering questions in this forum. That’s one of the reasons for the Forum Guidelines I included above.

your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different

I will bow from commenting but thanks Truden. I will keep an eye on the thread in the vain hope that it gets fixed.

Any one have any solutions to this?
